Analysis of the company productive system and introduction to ZCT 

The production plan of a winery is structured in 3 phases: cultivation, vinification and transport to the warehouse. Each of them requires a certain number of inputs (e.g. grapes, glass bottle, water, diesel oil, etc.) that in turn require a certain amount of energy resources.

The challenge

Alens has analyzed the productive process of the company and has proposed some interventions to optimize the squander reducing the impact of the environmental process.

Solution

OPTIMIZATION OF THE ELEMENTS INVOLVED IN THE PROCESS AND INSTALLATION OF A PHOTOVOLTAIC PLANT

With its intervention, Alens has seggested:

  • Change of nitrogenous compounds (long release)

  • Use of a lighter bottle 

  • Change of refrigeration equipment 

  • Installation of a photovoltaic plant 

introducing the company to the ZeroCarbonTarget path.

Result

WARRANTY OF RESULT AND ACTUAL SAVINGS

Within the ZCT path the customer has already carried out interventions 1 and 2, achieving a reduction of 7.6%. With the purchase of electricity with GO he has also added an additional 14.5% offset, achieving the T1 and the first leaf label.


Interventions 3 and 4 are planned over the next six years, which would gradually lead to T2 and Carbon Neutrality.
